About us
Our senior team brings over 90 years of combined experience in investing and business
I’m Rofi, Managing Director of IslamicAM.
After graduating from Oxford University, I qualified as a Chartered Management Accountant and am now a Fellow of the Institute. With nearly 30 years of experience in finance, investment, and business, I have served as CFO and COO across multiple sectors — including private equity, financial services, energy, and infrastructure — helping organisations grow responsibly.
With IslamicAM, my focus is simple: to protect and grow our clients’ wealth with discipline, prudent risk management, transparency, and a commitment to Sharia principles. I am deeply passionate about empowering the UK’s Muslim community to build and preserve wealth through halal investing, creating opportunities for financial security and long-term prosperity.

I’m Gariesh, Director of ClarityAM.
After graduating from Oxford with a degree in Engineering, Economics & Management, I began my career in investment management at Mercury Asset Management. I later served as a Director at Blackfriars Asset Management, focusing on Emerging Markets equities. In 2016, I founded ClarityAM to deliver investment advice and management differently — with clarity, transparency and a relentless focus on client outcomes.
Rofi and I met at university and have been good friends ever since; a conversation about structuring Sharia-compliant investing for his family sparked what became IslamicAM — our dedicated service for the UK’s Muslim community. I hold the CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning and the Advanced Diploma (AF3 – Pension Planning).

I’m Tom, Director of ClarityAM.
I’ve spent more than three decades in asset management, moving from portfolio management into leadership roles across the UK, Europe and Asia. My positions have included CEO of First State Investments International, Director at Gartmore and, later, CEO of Blackfriars Asset Management, an emerging-markets boutique. I’ve also advised private equity, wealth and funds businesses through Firebrand Capital and served as a non-executive director of Establishment Investment Trust plc. I studied English & American Literature at the University of Warwick.
Gariesh and I worked together at Blackfriars—he as a director and I as CEO—and we’ve been close friends ever since. When he set out to build ClarityAM, he asked me to join him as a director and I didn’t hesitate. I love building businesses and putting strong governance and process behind long-term investing. At ClarityAM and IslamicAM, I focus on clear client communication, disciplined, Sharia-aligned portfolios and scaling the service responsibly.
